Halkidiki with Kids: 2026 Family Travel Guide

Halkidiki is one of the easiest destinations in Greece for a family holiday: short flight to SKG, no ferry hops, shallow sandy beaches and dozens of resorts with proper kids' clubs. Here's how to choose where to stay and what to expect with children of different ages.

Best resorts for families

Sani Resort: The benchmark for family luxury in Greece — five hotels, Manchester United Football Schools, dedicated baby & toddler facilities and a private 7-km beach. Ikos Oceania & Olivia: All-inclusive done at a premium level (Michelin-star chefs, free babysitting on request). Alia Palace (Pefkochori): Quieter 5-star with bungalows and family suites. Outside the big names, smaller family-run hotels in Hanioti and Pefkochori (Sousouras Hotel, Anastasia Apartments) offer apartment-style stays from €70/night.

Kid-friendly beaches

On Kassandra, the beaches at Hanioti, Pefkochori (south end towards Polychrono), Kallithea and Possidi all combine sandy shore + shallow water + organized facilities. On Sithonia, Lagomandra and Kalogria are the easiest with small kids. Avoid the rocky coves of Kavourotrypes with toddlers.

Practical tips with kids

Always request child seats when booking your transfer — we provide them free of charge (rear-facing for babies, booster for older kids). The drive from SKG to most resorts is 60–110 minutes, so pack snacks and a tablet. Pharmacies in tourist villages stock baby formula, nappies and sun cream, but brands are limited — bring what you trust. Most beach bars happily warm a baby bottle if you ask.
